NoteTennessee HB 835 (2024) permits the coordinator of elections to compare voter registration databases with federal and state agencies, including the SAVE database, to verify citizenship (Tenn. Code Ann. § 2-2-141). Documentary proof may be required if citizenship cannot be verified through other data — same conditional category as Georgia and Indiana per NCSL (validated Mar 8, 2026).
